Make my feet be still
Plant them in these hills
I’m tired of always running through my days
I wanna build a home, a little place to call my own
Settle down, and live a simple way
I’m a raven flying high above the pines
A restless river, fugitive mind
I’m a storm cloud racing with the wind
I am a candle burning at both ends
So make my feet be still
Plant them in these hills
I’m ready to stop running through my days
Paint my canvas bright, sing away the night
Turn my wandering towards happiness
Love the life I live, use my gifts to give back
More than that with which I’m blessed
I’m a raven flying high above the pines
A restless river, fugitive mind
I’m a storm cloud racing with the wind
I am a candle burning at both ends
So paint my canvas bright
Sing away the night
Turn my wandering towards happiness
Make my burdens fair, so I can stand to bear
The weight of that which is mine to claim
And when my death comes near
May my heart be clear
So I don’t run in fear when she calls my name
I’m a raven flying high above the pines
A restless river, fugitive mind
I’m a storm cloud racing with the wind
I am a candle burning at both ends
So make my burdens fair, so I can stand to bear
The weight of that which is mine to claim
When my death comes near
May my heart be clear
So I don’t run in fear when she calls my name
