Feet Be Still, upcoming CD

The CD FEET BE STILL, is now available and about to be officially launched. The songs include 'Feet Be Still' which won the Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award and 'Sister's of Charity' which won the OCFF Songs from the Heart award in the historical category, both in 2008. The list also includes ‘The Map Inside’, 'Snow', 'Naysayer's Redemption', 'A Dog Named Money', 'Song for Tibet', 'The Promise of Peace', ‘Let Yourself In’ and 'Sweet Love' - all original - as well as'Wayfaring Stranger' and ‘The Water is Wide’ both traditional songs with gorgeous melodies. One song, ‘Nightbird', didn't make the cut but is available online on Chris' MYSPACE page. It just didn't fit on this CD.

Ian Tamblyn, Chris and James Stephens co-produced the album. It was mixed by Ian, Chris and Dave Bignell at Heat of Sound in Ottawa and mastered by David Cain at SoundMaster Studios in Ottawa. Healy Disc / EDT did the manufacturing. The artwork for the album was done by Chris MacLean (Wunderdog Creative) and photos were shot by Franziska Heinze of Wakefield QC.

The musicians include Stuart Watkins on bass, Olivier Fairfield on kit and percussion, Fred Guignon on guitars, Brian Sanderson on yukelele and horns, James Stephens on fiddle and mandolin, Don Cummings on organ and Ian Tamblyn on harmonium and hammered dulcimer. Chris sang all the lead vocals and some harmony vocals as well as played acoustic guitar, mountain dulcimer, harmonium, root drum and percussion. Everyone brought so much to the recording and it's a work to be proud of.

The official CD launch is SATURDAY OCTOBER 3rd at La Nouvelle Scène in Ottawa. See the gigs page for details.
